Course Outline:
This course is intended for Cobol programmers developing applications which require multiple records to be displayed, paged through and interfaced with other applications, known as subfiles. The course covers the definition of a subfile and all subfile DDS keywords. By the end of the course you will have coded a load-all, expanding, single page and data entry subfile program and be able to identify and choose the right subfile for an application.
Pre-requisites:
Delegates should attend the Cobol programming course (ISCBP) ideally followed by a period of practical work in Cobol development prior to attending this course. Delegates must have a good practical knowledge of SDA, PDM and SEU and the fundamentals of programming in Cobol.
